Not so complicated, do you want me to test in now?
    And add to autorun?

    Sorry, closed the connection.
No to the autorun, I rather start it manually.
Test? How, as in what would you want to test?

Test mean run script and see the output (done).
In terminal window you can use up/down arrows to access last typed commands (easier than typing everytime).

Yes, found out about the arrows before. Didn't take the time to actually read each successive arrow clicked. Looking online now to find out about getting Acarsdeco2 going. But for now, signing off. Thanks for all of your help, very much appreciated.

    FYI
I ran acarsdeco2 on windows without proper antenna.
    Results below:

It works and is not too difficult to parametrize.

To update the thread, regarding the problem of not seeing enough messages, I thought it was because I was changing back and forth the sd card between two pi's.
It turns out it was the antenna.
Initially, I was using the antenna solely for the pi. I then, used a splitter to feed the scanner and the dongle on the pi. I thought it was working well, I was seeing decodes both on the pi and hearing ATC.
I decided to switch things back to original and connected the antenna directly to the dongle. Now the messages are coming fast and furious.
I also ordered a pre amp for the antenna, hopefully this time I will get enough signal for both the dongle and the scanner.

When running the rtl test command, part of the message reads "PLL not locked!.

I haven't noticed it before, as I don't use the command often, so, is there something I need to worry about / change?

Hi gentlemen - I am having the same exact issue and gcopter1 and I see that this issue was resolved. I would love to know what it was exactly that enabled the program to launch. After the launch ste of ./run-acars.sh I get: Permission denied

    Is there a simple fix?
