I'm slightly confused, I'm currently sharing via Windows/VRS but in the process of moving over to an Rpi3 system. I already have Dump1090 mutability installed and sharing to another setup (360Radar). To share to ADSBX do I need to install the piaware software or the ADSBX base image or both? I will probably be installing the piaware in any case as I'll be sharing to FlightAware. Another thing that worries me, as the piaware is an "image" will this overwrite everything that is already on my card - perhaps I should have used this first? Paul
Make a clean install described here: https://forum.flightradar24.com/threads/10232-How-to-Install-dump1090-mutability_1-15-dev-on-RPi Install additional feeders (if you want) following "How to" instructions Marcin
Go to: https://github.com/jprochazka/adsb-exchange Install MLAT client as described, altitude should be in meters above sea level. Marcin
Thanks Marcin, I'll look at installing in the morning. Joop, at the moment I'm keeping the Beast receiver on my Windows set up and using a FA prostick with the Rpi, might swap at a later date
I think I've got it set up ok, and should be feeding to ADSBx - I entered the user name "Melk_RPI", do I need to register this name anywhere. I've looked on the matrix https://www.adsbexchange.com/sync-3/ and I can't see my station name yet (Uk based) but I've only been running a few minutes - I'll look again in a couple of hours Paul
Paul Check your MLAT client settings again. You're still not on sync matrix region 3. What is your typical rate (aircrafts, pos/second)? Marcin
Ok, I'll have to check the settings tomorrow, I don't have access to it at the moment. According to vrs I'm seeing around 40 aircraft at the moment
Looks like we didn't wait long enough, my station is now showing on the matrix so all looks well. Thanks for your help Marcin
