ADSBexchange at EAA AirVenture

ADSBexchange flight data available for Oshkosh/EAA AirVenture 2021.

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin, July 21, 2021 (eReleases) – ADSBexchange.com will provide a live traffic map, a live data REST API, and downloadable archived data from the Oshkosh area during EAA AirVenture.

ADSBexchange.com is making ADS-B data available as a demonstration of the power of the ADS-B data aggregation platform in a high-density traffic area. Similar data is available through the volunteer network of ADSBexchange receivers worldwide.

A real-time map of all aircraft movements will be available at https://osh-flights.com. The interface is available ad-free on both mobile and desktop for the duration of the event. The osh-flights tracking map will be useful for fly-in attendees looking for current traffic, as well as spotting aircraft on arrival and following along with the airshow.

To reduce the learning curve for new users, the tracking map for EAA Airventure is simplified version of the ADSBexchange global map. As always, the full interface is available at https://globe.adsbexchange.com and the map help is available at https://www.adsbexchange.com/map-help/.

For software developers, ADS-B data will also be made available via a REST API and JSON data files will be available for download each night for the previous day. More information can be found at https://www.adsbexchange.com/oshkosh/.

“ADSBexchange.com was created to satisfy the curiosity of aviation enthusiasts around the world,” says founder, Dan Streufert. “Instead of tracking airline arrival times, which are available from a number of sources, our goal is really to give a picture of ‘what’s in the sky’ with a deeper level of technical detail than available elsewhere, and available to anyone with a passion for aviation.”

About ADSBexchange

Founded in 2016, ADSBexchange.com aggregates approximately 250,000 transponder packets every second through ADS-B receivers hosted by aviation enthusiasts around the world. Unlike other ADS-B aggregators, ADSBexchange displays all data received live to the public, with no redacted fields, blocked aircraft, or hidden information.

A guide to contribute to the ADSBexchange.com network is available at https://www.adsbexchange.com/how-to-feed/.

For commercial users and app developers, ADS-B data is accessible via a REST API and compressed JSON flat files. More information available at https://www.adsbexchange.com/data/.
